Our mission is to combat the unreason and selflessness that are sweeping our culture from the nihilist left to the religious right, and to sound a new ideal of capitalism and individual rights in American politics.

The White House certainly is filled with hateful people. And I would like to see an O'ist run for office somewhere too. But as we all know, politics is the result, the consequence of ideas. Thus my main desire is to see O'ists start showing up in the media. You can't imagine, or maybe you can, how wonderful it would be to pick up a Detroit paper and read an editorial saying something like "The national health care plan proposed by the President is not only wrong on practical grounds as we have covered before, it is wrong on moral grounds because it violates the rights of all medical people, as well as patients, to contract with each other as they see to their own interests." Of course these intellectuals will come from academia and that's where our efforts must be focused now. I for one expect to see a few more O'ists in the media in the next 10 years even if they have to start their own paper. The way papers are failing now, I see future papers, whether on line or in print, to be specialists. But that's another topic.

Ultimately, it's all "academic" until an O'ist or O'ists gain control over our government. Until then, it's just a matter of how quickly this country dies. Only we know the right ideas and are capable of applying them consistently. The best we can look for from any non-O'ist is a temporary slow down in the rate of decline. And that can only go on for so long. I hope O'ists start going into politics soon. I would be glad to take a shot at political office, but I am not wealthy, and one does need to be wealthy in order to get into the club, democratic process or no. Regrettably, I have not yet made my fortune. Any O'ist wealthy enough to do so should, in his own self-interest, and if he gives a damn about the future of this country, enter the political arena now, when good Americans are most desperate for someone to show them how to morally defend their way of life.

Spot on analysis. My fear is that Huckabee gets the nomination in '12. Polls show him ahead right now, which does not reflect well on the Republican electorate. If he gets the nomination it may be time to had for the hills, imo.

Regarding Rush Limbaugh, the Left hasn't just criticized him, they have demonized him. The Rams' bid shows that in today's culture if you challenge the hegemony of the Left there are certain things that you will not be allowed to do - like own a professional sports team.

Something similar to this was done to Pim Fortuyn in the weeks leading up to his murder in 2002 in the Netherlands. The mainstream media are so dehumanizing Rush that I wonder if some leftist won't try to kill him (like what happened to Fortuyn). I'm sure Rush has security but it might be smart to increase it.

The Left is on an asymptotic plunge to total tyranny. This is fascinating - as well as scary - to watch. I only hope we can survive it and that the end of this road isn't either a Leftist or Religious dictatorship.

Notice how Pelosi stammers around what she's saying: "we." As in: WE committed violence when we talked like that.

It's a confession, if anything. Like just about all insults hurled by the left.
